The Tiwi Land Council has strict quarantine requirements for visitors to the Islands.

In order to visit the Tiwi islands you require a permit. Permits are granted to people who have been invited for business or private purposes. To obtain a permit your host must fill out a request form which describes the purpose of your visit, the length of your stay and the community you wish to visit. The Tiwi Land Council
(Ph: 08 89814898)

will then issue your permit and it may be collected, faxed or posted to you or faxed directly to the airline you are travelling with.

If you wish to visit the islands as a tourist you need to apply through Tiwi Tours or the Tiwi Art Network.
